CHARLESTON, Mo. — Pauline Sugg Patton, 90, died May 27, 2020, at her home in Charleston. Born Dec. 20, 1929, on Chickalah Mountain in Yell County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Newman Ethridge and Lillie Horn Sugg. CHARLESTON, Mo. — Pauline Sugg Patton, 90, died May 27, 2020, at her home in Charleston.

Born Dec. 20, 1929, on Chickalah Mountain in Yell County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Newman Ethridge and Lillie Horn Sugg. She was a charter leaders of the Lucky Clovers 4-H Club in Mississippi County. A member of the Mississippi County Historical Society, she was also a member of the American Quilter’s Society and the First Baptist Church of Charleston.

On Oct. 23, 1949, she married Glenn Patton,who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Allen of Belton and Fern Wood of Danville, Ark.; and one daughter, Deborah Patton.

Survivors include: one son, Raymond Patton of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Roy Presson of rural Charleston; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Private family graveside services will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate.

Burial will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
