LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Anthony Glenn "Twink" Williams, 56, died May 29, 2020, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born Sept. 24, 1963, in East Prairie, Missouri, son of George Williams Sr. of Sikeston, Missouri, and the late Mary Louise Jefro Williams, he was baptized at Mount Erie Missionary Baptist Church in Pinhook, Missouri. He obtained his elementary and formal education in East Prairie, Missouri, and was a member of the graduating class of 1981, He had worked on various farms and later as an over-the-road truck driver.

In 2004, he married Marilyn Sumpter, who survives of the home.

In addition to his father and wife, survivors include: three children, Jessica Woodson, Megan Williams and Anthony Williams Jr.; two stepchildren, Jerry Sumpter and Angela Sumpter; eight siblings, George Williams Jr., the Rev. Melvin Williams, Glenda M. Myers, Darrell E. Williams, Linda Sales, Orlana Vanessa Johnson, Faye Mack and Billy Ray Williams, two additional siblings raised with him, Catina Ann Ward and Leonard Gallion; and six grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri, until the immediate burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston. All attendees should honor social distancing rules and wear face masks.
