SIKESTON —A Sikeston man was arrested and charged Monday with first degree drug trafficking following a joint investigation that resulted in the location of methamphetamine valued at $185,000.
Members of Sikeston Narcotics Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration served a search warrant early Monday at an apartment located at 111 N. Stoddard in reference trafficking narcotics, according to a news release from Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
“This was a joint investigation conducted by the two agencies to mitigate illegal drug sales in the area,” Sikeston DPS Chief James McMillen said in a news release. “Police served a search warrant and discovered just over 4 pounds of methamphetamine in the home.
Dominique D. Tipler, 33, of Sikeston was taken into custoday and charged with the A Felony through Scott County Courts.The judge ordered “no bond” until his court appearance.
McMillen said investigators estimate the street value of this methamphetamine to be around $185,000.
