Gene Howell

ST. HELEN, Mich. — Gene Howell, 47, of St. Helen, passed away on July 8, 2020.

Born Nov. 2, 1972, in Sikeston, Mo., he was the son of the late Virginia and Dennis Howell.

He was married to Jennifer Howell on Oct. 16, 2015.

Gene was a hard-working man, loving husband, son, father and brother. Gene enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors — fishing, camping, hanging out by a campfire with family and friends. Gene was of the Pentecostal faith. His chosen profession was construction and roofing.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Howell of St. Helen; his stepfather, Donald Smith of Sikeston; his children, Rodney and Erica Epp of Sikeston, Justin Blanchfield of Sikeston, Brittany and Justin Hyde, Cody Howell and Jessica Graham of Greenfield, Ind., Ashton Henderson of Malden, Mo.; stepsons, William Norcross, Sean Salisbury and Jordan salisbury; his siblings, David Myers of Sikeston, Joyce Hise (Justin Windekneche) of Morehouse, Mo., Kenneth Smith and Tasha Scowden of Morehouse and Melissa Smith and Preston Smith of Huntsville, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Rose Baker of Owosso, Mich.; brother-in-law, William Baker of Owosso; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and 11 grandchildren.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jackie Myers; and two sister, Kimberly Howell and Paula Powers.

Services will be at a later date.
