POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Jimmy Dee Hailey, 86, died July 29, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Born June 15, 1934, in Conran, Missouri, son of the late Mattie Mae McArthur and James William Hailey, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was of the Baptist belief.
His wife, Pasty Gammons Hailey, preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 2010.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William “Bill” Hailey; two brothers, Jerry Hailey and J.W. Hailey; and one sister, Roxie Bailey.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Melanie Hailey of Perryville, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Cala of Palo Alto, California; one brother, Billy Joe Hailey of Elkhart, Indiana; two sisters, Alice Edwards of Caruthersville, Missouri, and Willie Ruth Muse of Poplar Bluff; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Sunday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Services with full military rites will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Portageville Cemetery with the Rev. John Compere officiating.
