SIKESTON — Charles Edward "Charlie" Fodge, 94, died Aug. 11, 2020, at his home in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 31, 1925, in Mississippi County, Missouri, son of the late Charles Louis and Fanny Lou Peck Fodge, he joined the Navy in 1942 and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He returned home in 1946 and spent most of his life driving truck deliveries for Cotton Springs, Potlatch and Midway Wholesale Florist. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
On June 23, 1947, in Sikeston, he married Faith Ann McCampbell in Sikeston, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Sammie Fodge; and daughter-in-law, Saundra Kay Fodge.
Survivors include: one son, Charles M. Fodge of Shelbyville, Texas; one daughter, Pattti Parker of Sikeston; one sister, Iris Jean Allen of Charleston, South Carolina; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Burial with full military honors provided by the Missouri Honor Guard will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
