Two deaths related to coronavirus reported locally Wednesday

Two local counties reported deaths related to COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The New Madrid County Health Department reported the county’s six death on Wednesday, with no further information given. New Madrid County also reported 13 new cases with 61 cases currently active and 358 out of quarantine.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center also reported an additional death on Wednesday, a resident in their 80s. It is the 12th death in the county.

There are 204 active cases in Cape Girardeau County with 826 recovered.

There were 16 new positive cases in Scott County reported on Wednesday with four more people that have recovered. According to the Scott County Health Department there are 146 active cases with 502 recovered and 14 deaths.

Seven new cases have been reported in Stoddard County, with 47 active cases. The Stoddard County Public Health Center reports 274 have recovered in the county with 10 deaths.

The Pemiscot County Health Department is reporting 54 active cases with five hospitalized. There have been 306 released from isolation with nine deaths.

Mississippi County and Dunklin County had not released any new updated numbers as of Thursday morning.
