Mary Dunigan
EAST PRAIRE, Mo. — Mary Lee Dunigan, 87, died Sept. 7, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Charleston, Missouri, daughter of the late Willie Pratt and Beatrice Robinson Pratt, she was employed by Burkhart Manufacturing in Cairo, Illinois, for over 15 years. She then became a certified nurse’s assistant and later a certified medical technician and was employed at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Charleston, Missouri. She retired in 2010 from Visiting Nurse Association where she worked as an in-home health provider. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Pinhook, Missouri.
In 1957, she married Leo Dunigan, who preceded her in death in 1969.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Roy Pratt; one brother, Clyde Pratt; and one sister, Betty Dunigan.
Survivors include: one brother, Orlando Pratt of East Chicago, Indiana; her nephew and caregiver, Lester Dunigan of East Prairie; and eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston where the Rev. Dr. J.L. Posey will officiate.
