Erwin Lloyd

LILBOURN, Mo. — Raymond Erwin Lloyd, 88, died Sept. 14, 2020, at New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri.

Born Aug. 5, 1932, in Lilbourn, Missouri, son of the late Raymond and Bessie Taylor Lloyd, he was a member of New Life Assembly in New Madrid and had worked as owner-editor for SEMO News in Lilbourn and Portageville Review in Portageville, Missouri. He combined these two newspapers to the Portageville Missourian News in the 1990s and continued to work there until 2002.

On June 20, 1986 he was married Jean Beavers Lloyd, she survives of the home in Lilbourn.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Lloyd of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Derek Lloyd of San Francisco, California; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn.
