Daniel Cotner

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Daniel Gene Cotner, 60, died Sept. 16, 2020, at his home in Bloomfield.

Born May 4, 1960, in St. Louis, son of the late James Franklin Cotner Sr. and Shirlene Fay Polen Cotner, he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston and Knights of Columbus in St. Charles. He worked as a packer for Tyson Foods.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Cotner of St. Charles; two daughters, Hanna Rose Cotner of O'Fallon and Jennifer Cotner of California; one brother, Nathan Cotner of Bloomfield; one sister, Esther Ehlene of Jefferson County, Missouri; and one grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Cotner Jr. and Jeremiah Cotner; and two sisters, Elizabeth Cotner and Sarah Cotner.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

The funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. David Dohogne, pastor, will serve as celebrant.

Burial will be in Cotner Cemetery in Salem, Missouri.
