ADVANCE, Mo. — An Advance woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash Monday in Stoddard County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 3:14 p.m. on Missouri Highway 25, north of Missouri Highway 91, the northbound vehicle driven by Remona L. Coffee, 60, of Advance was stopped to make a left turn, and the northbound vehicle operated by David L. Fernandez, 40, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, failed to yield and struck Coffee’s vehicle from behind, causing Coffee’s vehicle to cross into the southbound lane. Coffee’s vehicle was struck by the southbound freightliner operated by Bernard Quinn Jr., 58, of Sikeston, Missouri.
Coffee was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:50 p.m. by Stoddard County Coroner Greg Mathis and transported to Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Fernandez received moderate injuries while Quinn sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
