Mervin Mims

PARMA, Mo. — Mervin Dale Mims, 65, died Sept. 22, 2020, at Parma.

Born Jan. 30, 1955, in Parma, son of the late David Roy Mims Sr. and Wilma Beatrice Mims,

On Feb. 8, 1974, in Jackson, Missouri, he married Brenda Sullivan, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three children, Chrystal (Ryan) Bincoe and Darin (Abby) Mims of New Madrid, Missouri, and Shannon (Jeff) Woods of Parma; eight siblings, Wayne Mims of Catron, Missouri, Ronald Mims of Pennsylvania, Lily Ervin of Grayridge, Missouri, Reba Ezell and Jerry Mims of Dexter, Missouri, Elaine Brooks and David Roy Mims Jr, of Malden, Missouri, and Everett Mims of Idalia, Missouri; and nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jeffrey Mims, Leland Mims, James Mims and Manuel Mims; and one sister, Barbara Yarbrough.

A private family service will be at a later date with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
