Former pilot in Vietnam War to speak at ceremony

SIKESTON — A retired military pilot in the Vietnam War will be guest speaker at a community service Wednesday night.

Henry Pasquet, a retired pilot in the Vietnam War and world record holder in long-range shooting will speak during the service that is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, 1101 N. Main.

“As a veteran myself, I am so happy our church can celebrate Veterans Day,” said Mathew Vroman, pastor of the First Baptist Church. “I especially hope our community comes out from the Vietnam Era who need our support for how they were treated during the war.”
