Bessie McKinney

SIKESTON —Bessie Mae McKinney, 79, died Nov. 2, 2020, in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 23, 1940, in Vardaman, Mississippi, daughter of the late Howard Pratt and Mary Bess Atkinson (Dan) Bean, she had lived in Sikeston for 55 years. She worked as a domestic engineer for over 30 years and was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Oct. 29, 1955, she was married to the late Charles McKinney.

Survivors include: seven children, three brothers, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one grandson.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at the Green Memorial COCIC in Sikeston. Visitation will begin at noon until service time at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
