SIKESTON – Loretta Luella Wilson, age 86, passed away Nov. 9, 2020, at her home in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 1, 1934 in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Leslie White Rhodes.
On Sept. 2, 1951, she was married to Woodrow Wilson; he preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2004.
Loretta was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church. She loved to cook and was always putting others before herself. Everyone always ate before her, she made sure her families’ needs were met, and she was a caring and compassionate lifelong servant to God.
She is survived by two sons, Wendell Wilson and Woodrow Wilson Jr. both of Sikeston; three daughters, Rhonda June (Michael) Jany of Winamac, Indiana, Carma (Kevin) Still of Sikeston, and Lora (Steve) Turner of Charleston, Missouri; six sisters, Ocie, Janice, Peggy, Geneva, Linda, and Janey; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dan Carlos Wilson; and three brothers, Kenneth, Troy, and Holbert.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at Old Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Steven Vester, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
