SCOTT CITY, Mo. — Latasha Mashek, daughter of Joyce Tankersley Spane of Chaffee and the late Paul Spane, was born on July 30, 1976, in Lawton, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 44.
Latasha was a nurse at the Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau. She attended the Scott City First Baptist Church and was a resident of Scott City.
On Oct. 12, 2007, she was united in marriage to Brian Keith Mashek in Benton, Missouri. Brian survives of the home.
Besides her husband and mother, survivors include: two sons, Brent James and Brayden Mashek both of Scott City; one daughter, Bailey James of Scott City; one brother, Travis (Robin) Spane of Oran; three sisters, Tammy (Dennis) Brock of Cape Girardeau, Tracy (Tim) Limmer of Rolla, Missouri, and Debbie (Mark) Schmidt of Cape Girardeau; six nieces and nephews, Megan, Zachary, Jakob, Alyssa, Molly, and Nicholas; by her father and mother-in-law, Stuart and Beatrice Mashek; and her sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Doug Marakami and children Christian, Meghan, and Dylan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Interment will follow in the Perkins Cemetery.
