Retha Shell

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Retha Mae Moore Shell, 87, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, in St. Louis. Retha had resided at Tesson Heights Senior Community since 2009.

Retha was born March 20, 1933, in Sikeston, to A.G. and Mary Ellen (Everett) Moore. She and James H. Shell were married on June 17, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas.

Retha is survived by her daughter, Teresa, and her husband Ron Minner of Arnold, Missouri; one grandson, Bo Minner, and his wife Beth; two great-granddaughters, Chelsea and Chloe, of Arnold; her sister, Edna (Dottie) Cardin of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one brother-in-law, John (Grace) Shell of Dexter, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Shell, and two brothers.

A private family service will be held, Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry, St. Louis. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
