CHARLESTON, Mo. — Kitty Gale Nelson, age 83, of Charleston, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
She was born Nov. 12, 1937, in the Deventer Community of Mississippi County, Missouri, to the late Rudolph Alvin Tousky and Ruth Lee McIntosh Tousky and had lived in Charleston most of her life. She was employed with P&N Hirsch Store in Charleston and later Gates Rubber Company until her retirement.
On Feb. 28, 1956, she married Garland Wayne Nelson, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Terry Sprinkles of East Prairie, Missouri, Mary (Stan) Jones of Matthews, Missouri, Tammy Marshall of Springfield, Missouri, and Margaret (Donnie) McDowell of Charleston; her grandchildren, Nicole (Brandon) Gregory, Morgan (Brad) Odell, Kimberly (Hunter) Hutcheson, Ashley Haire and Caitlin (Zachery) Bolden; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Homer) Baker of Charleston and Jane (Eugene) Reinhart of Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her great-grandson, Caleb Jack Harnden.
