Donald Kay Merrick

SIKESTON — Donald Kay Merrick of Sikeston was born to the late E. Dewey and Emma Merrick on Sept. 18, 1945, in Stoddard County, Missouri, and passed away on Feb. 18, 2021, in Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

Donald had been a resident of Sikeston all of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving Donald are two sons, Mark Merrick of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Rick Merrick of Benton, Missouri; one brother, Ray Merrick of Morehouse, Missouri; and six grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, E. Dewey and Emma Merrick; and one daughter, Kimberly Ann Merrick.

A private family service will be held at a later date with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri, in charge of arrangements.
