Gene Knight
SIKESTON — Bobby Eugene "Gene" Knight Jr. went on to his heavenly reward on Feb. 21, 2021.
He was born July 28,1952, in Paducah, Kentucky, to Bobby Eugene Knight Sr. and Vanace Ann "Baker" Knight. He graduated from Sikeston High School in 1970.
Gene married the love of his life, Shirley Jean Knight, on March 10, 1975. They were blessed with their first child, William "Bill" Knight, in August 1975. Their second tiny miracle, Steven Knight, was born August 1977. Hillary Knight, his most beloved princess, was born December 1982. Gene was the proud grandfather of four wonderful grandchildren, Jazmin, Donald, Gaven and Joshua, all surviving. Also surviving is his younger sister, Kathy Knight, of Flint, Michigan. Gene had a lifelong career as a truck driver. He was a loving and patient man who was loved by everyone with whom he came in contact. He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, his Savior. Gene will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, Larry Knight and Jimmy Knight.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Please enquire with the family.
