SIKESTON — Mildred Worthington Burnett, age 83, passed away on March 4, 2021, at her home in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Washington, D.C., to the late Herbert and Frances Spicer Ferris.
On Nov. 17, 1955, in Rossville, Georgia, she married Rev. James F. Worthington who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2007; she later married Rev. Henry C. Burnett who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Compassion Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include: two sons, Frank (Alisa) Worthington of Sikeston and David (Sonya) Worthington of Sikeston; one brothe, John Ferris of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister, Sandra Ward of College Park, Maryland; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven Worthington; and two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Compassion Church in Sikeston with Rev. Frank Worthington pastor at Compassion Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Matt Sautter, Jeremiah Wade, Corey Norris, Sam Worthington, Mike Brandon and Alan Lancaster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Wade and Liam Sautter.
