Tony Seagroves

WYATT, Mo. — James Anthony “Tony” Seagroves, 54, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at his home in Wyatt.

He was born June 12, 1966, in Hammond, Indiana, to Mary Frances “Fran” Crosno-Rose.

He had been employed by the levee district working in Mississippi County and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Edith Grogan; his mother and stepfather, Mary “Fran” (Carl F.) Rose of Charleston; one stepson Dustin Witty of Wyatt; two brothers, Charles “Butch” Neal of Tennessee, Carl E. (Drew) Rose of Sikeston; three stepbrothers, Steven Rose of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Danny (Heather Bell) Rose of Marble Hill and Michael Rose of Sikeston; one stepsister, Lisa (Tom) Seal of McDougal, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by two children, Shawn and Shana Seagroves; and one sister, Mary Ann Davis.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021, from noon until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The Rev. David Dowdy, of the St. James General Baptist Church in East Prairie will officiate. 

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
