An Amber Alert issued from Charleston, Missouri, earlier Friday has been canceled

A Charleston, Missouri, teen who was reportedly abducted Friday morning has been located.

At just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled the Amber Alert that was issued earlier in the morning for 15-year-old Ken’niyah McCain, adding she was located and was safe. The teen was allegedly abducted from a bus stop at approximately 7:30 a.m. Friday from S. Sixth Street and Commercial Street in Charleston.

While McCain was located, law enforcement was still searching for the suspects and the vehicle used in the abduction.

The suspects are described as two Black males wearing dark-colored clothing in a black Tahoe or Suburban.

The investigation is being conducted by the Charleston Department of Public Safety with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
