CHARLESTON, Mo. — Three juveniles are believed to be suspects in the burglary of a Bertrand, Missouri, church.

On Thursday, the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s assistance identifying three juveniles suspected of burglarizing a Bertrand, Missouri, church.

According to a release from the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to investigate a burglary of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand. The incident occurred three to four weeks ago.

Several items were taken from inside the church and the rear entry door was damaged beyond repair.

A later release thanked the public for tips and leads.

“This will be a continuing investigation, but at this time the juveniles have been released to their parents,” the release said. “To the parents and the young people who came in today, thank you for being respectful of the process and helping us with the investigation.”
