NEW MADRID, Mo. - The Higgerson Family Reunion was held on June 13, 2021.

The coronavirus pandemic canceled the reunion in 2020 but it came back strong in 2021.

We moved to the newly decorated Community Building on Mill Street this year and were almost bulging at the seams. We had 90 family and friends from the states of Texas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri.

Sarah Higgerson was the new coordinator and she did a marvelous job. Thank you, Sarah.

Historic family artifacts, including early reunion photographs, were displayed. It was suggested that we put the photographs on the Higgerson School web page for others to see.

Byron McVay, Dan Feiser and David Porter, accompanied by our own singer, Laura Higgerson, played music and this was an added treat.

The annual fish fry to benefit the Sugar Tree Cemetery was held on Saturday night. Our sincere thanks to Ernest Carter for mowing and taking care of the cemetery.

The Higgerson Family Reunion is always held on the second Sunday of June every year. We enjoy seeing all of you, so please plan to join us next year on June 12, 2022.
