James Lee Baker
WILSON CITY, Mo. — James L. Baker, 88, of Wilson City passed away June 27, 2021.
He was born Jan. 25, 1933, to Clay and Lucy Baker, in Wilson City. James served in the U.S. Army and retired from Sullair LLC after more than 30 years after which he returned to his childhood home—Wilson City. He was a member of Ollie Grove Baptist Church. Affectionately referred to as “Dick,” he loved fishing, spreading the Good News, and spending time with family and friends. James was a devoted husband, father and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Walter and Elmer), sister (Bessie), and wife (Freddie).
James is survived by countless family and friends.
The Viewing will be 11 a.m. Services will be noon July 3 at Ollie Grove Baptist Church, Wyatt, Missouri.
Burial and Military Service will be 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery followed by a repast.
