SIKESTON — A new development will be sprouting up on North Main Street.

According to Lindsey Curtis, director of real estate for Mayson Capital & Alliance Real Estate, construction will begin on the property at 600 N. Main, across from Rhodes this week.

Over the last several months, the former Fas Gas Property has been demolished and cleared for the building of the Main Street Centre. The Centre will feature eight suites, ranging from 1,300 square feet and up.

“One side will have a drive thru if someone would want that,” Curtis said. “We have also tossed around an idea if someone does want two suites, we could make that available. So it could be less than eight.”

Curtis said it is a prime location on Main Street. They are currently seeking tenants.

Curtis added they aren’t sure of a completion date and they are currently working on putting together a timeline.
