Condition of armory flags is shameful

Has anyone else noticed the condition of the flags flying at the Armory here in Sikeston. That is ridiculous. They should have been replaced a long time ago. I’m an ex-military myself.

What is happening with the case?

I was wondering if the Standard Democrat could give the public a report on what is happening with the Sikeston, former captain of the police department, who hit and killed the woman over near the kindergarten, about a year back. We haven’t heard anything. Have they let him go?

The case is still in the court system. The Standard Democrat is continuing to follow the case and will report on it as soon as there is something to report.
