Mary Magee
SIKESTON — Mary Alice Magee passed away at her home on Aug. 6, 2021, at age 82.
She was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Decaturville, Tennessee, to the late Floyd and Druie Butler Welch.
She was a member of Temple of Faith of Sikeston. She retired after 30-plus years from Missouri Delta Medical Center.
On Feb. 4, 1955, she married Harell Magee of Wyatt, Missouri, who preceded her in death, as well as two daughters, two sons and two grandsons.
She is survived by one son, Mike (Nora) Magee of the home; three daughters, Marilyn Layton of Sikeston, Brenda (Calvin) Smallwood of Georgia, and Ellen (Allan) Rhyne of Sikeston; two sisters, Peggy Riley of Wyatt, Missouri, and Jesse Johnson of Iowa; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Burial will follow in the Armer Cemetery near East Prairie, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, A.J. Rhyne, Shawn Parden, Kenny Landers, Mike Magee, Mike Layton, and Zack Gilmore.
