CHARLESTON, Mo. — Patricia Lynn Wright, age 61, a resident of rural Charleston, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Dexter, Missouri, to Rupert and Kay F. McGee Cross. She lived in the Bootheel of Missouri her entire life and her family was the most important thing in her life.

CHARLESTON, Mo. — Patricia Lynn Wright, age 61, a resident of rural Charleston, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Dexter, Missouri, to Rupert and Kay F. McGee Cross. She lived in the Bootheel of Missouri her entire life and her family was the most important thing in her life.

She is survived by three children, Keisha McGee-Burrow (Willie) and Adam Wright (Kristen Holder) all of Sikeston and Douglas Hickman (Crystal) of Philadelphia, Mississippi; two brothers, Kenneth Counts (Staci) and Rupert Cross Jr. all of Sikeston, three sisters, Audrey Cross of the state of Ohio; Rebecca Cross and Kay Cross, both of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and her companion of over 13 years, Kenneth Duty.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor, of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston. 

Following cremation, interment will be held at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
