NEW MADRID, Mo. - The New Madrid County Central High School Eagles celebrated their football homecoming with a week of activities.
This year’s theme was “Tune in for an Eagle Win!”
The winners of the week’s spirit dress count were members of the freshman class. Seniors placed second, juniors were third and the sophomore class was fourth.
For Thursday night’s parade the senior class took top honors.
Earning second place were the sophomores with the juniors in third place followed by the freshmen in fourth place.
The 2021 NMCC Homecoming Queen is Jimmy Caldwell-Newson, daughter of Myra Newson and Jimmy Caldwell Sr. She was escorted by Adrian Smith, the son of Meika Smith and Felawn Smith.
Members of her court included Freshman Maid Destiny Hughes, daughter of Marsha Howard and Lee Hughes. She was escorted by Slade Courtois, son of David and Allison Courtois.
Sophomore Maid was Akara Jackson, daughter of Elizabeth Smith. She was escorted by Jason Jones, the son of Angela Jones.
Erica Tittle, the daughter of Juanita Fowler and Brad Tittle, was the Junior Maid. She was escorted by Levie Sutton, son of Marcus and Syd Sutton.
Senior Maids were Delaney Cooksey, daughter of Jim and Heather Cooksey, and Olivia Nelson, daughter of Yolanda and Akera (KK) Nelson. Cooksey was escorted by Matt Riley, son of Ryan and Liz Riley, while Nelson was escorted by Shamar Williamson.
The Central High School Eagles topped off the homecoming activities with a win over Caruthersville, 52-12.
