Carolyn Naile

Carolyn S. Naile, age 79, a resident of Bertrand, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 4, 1942, at Mount Vernon, IL, to the late William Ivan Robison and Beatrice Allen Robison.  Carolyn had lived in Bertrand most of her life and had been employed with the Brown Shoe Company a number of years.  She later worked at Bertrand Nursing Center and helped to operate Naile’s Flea Market.

On December 9, 1956, she married Jerry Don Naile, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her children, Jerry Don “Flipper” Naile, Jr; Soyna (Jeff) McKinley and Charles G. Naile; her grandchildren, Brink, James, Jordan, Sierra, Hutton, William and Charles Samuel; also, two great grandchildren, Sage Marie and Julian, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Sallyanne Brink Naile; her sisters, Dorothy Pemberton, Vivian Floda, Mildred Trout, Maxine Cannor and Imogene Edgeman.

There is no public visitation.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.  Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
