KEWANEE, Mo. — A Catron man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Friday evening near Kewanee.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a freightliner driven by Gerald Scott, 30, of Parma was northbound on Route W, three miles east of Kewanee. The vehicle was stopped in the roadway when it was struck in the side by an eastbound truck driven by Richard Stinson, 66, of Catron at 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Stinson was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:26 p.m. while Scott received minor injuries and was transported by New Madrid County EMS to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
