Jeff Beeson Sr.

SIKESTON — Jeffery Lee Beeson Sr., age 52, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born Aug. 28, 1969, at Sikeston, to the late Cecil Thomas “Tommy” Beeson and Christine Cooksey Beeson. He had lived in Sikeston and the Bertrand area his entire life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had been involved in stock car racing since 1994. “Often imitated but not duplicated” was his famous quote. Jeff loved people. It could be said: “you may not be blood, but if Jeff loved you, you were considered family.”

Surviving are his son, Jeffery Lee Beeson Jr. of Morley, Missouri; his daughters, Jessica Beeson of Sikeston and Brittney Patrick of Dexter, Missouri; his brothers and sisters, Keith (Tiffany) Beeson of Sikeston, Steven Beeson of Bertrand, Cathy (Johnny) Herbert of Thayer, Missouri, Doug (Sandy) Ruff of Benton, Timmy (Kim) Anderson of Springfield, Missouri, Debra Hanff of Belgrade, Missouri, David (Lisa) Anderson of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Roger (Shelly) Wilcox of Springfield; seven grandchildren as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rusty Lynn Beeson and Tracy Alan Beeson; his paternal grandparents, W.T. and Clera Beeson; and maternal grandparents, Hubert and Virlon Cooksey.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. Randy Burns will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Huber, Brad Huber, Brandon Matty, Rhyne McCoy, Roger Turner, Rodney McCoy, Paul Ruff and Dustin Matty.
