Tennessee man killed in Sunday crash

HAYTI, Mo. — A Tennessee man was killed in a crash involving two freightliners Sunday in Pemiscot County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 11:10 a.m. on northbound Interstate 55 at the 14.6 mile marker, as the freightliner driven by Kenneth S. Cripps, 55, of Memphis, Tennessee, struck the rear of the freightliner operated by Damon Tabron, 26, of Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Cripps was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 a.m. by Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall and taken to the Pemiscot County Morgue in Hayti.
