Michael Baker
SIKESTON — Michael Baker, 60, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at his home in Sikeston. He was born in Rich, Mississippi, on Jan. 3, 1961, to Ida Murphy and the late Sylvester Murphy. Michael was a graduate of Sikeston High School and enlisted in the US Army from 1979 to 1998. He was employed as a corrections officer at the Missouri Department of Corrections in Charleston, Missouri.
Mike was a member of the Prince Hall Masons, Peaceful Lodge 181 where he served as Past Master.
Services with Masonic Rites will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Masonic Rites at 11:30 a.m. followed by services at noon with Pastor L.J. Nabors officiating.
Burial will be Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
