Sikeston woman killed in Friday crash

KEWANEE, Mo. — A Sikeston, Missouri, woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday in New Madrid County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 3:17 a.m. on US 61 at Route P in Kewanee as the westbound vehicle driven by Staci K. Bersine, 48, of Sikeston ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Bersine was pronounced dead at the scene at 4 a.m. by New Madrid County Coroner George DeLisle and taken to the New Madrid County Morgue.
