Mary Blackburn
SIKESTON — Mary Lou Blackburn, age 82, passed away Feb. 1, 2022, at Delta South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1939, in Arkabutla, Mississippi, to the late Harold and Cessell Miller Jenkins.
On June 15, 1957, in Dexter, Missouri, she married Rolwing Blackburn who preceded her in death on May 16, 2014.
Mary worked at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston as an LPN for many years. She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.
She is survived by one son, Kerry (Marina) Blackburn of Kelso, Missouri; one daughter, Melissa (Brett) Rhodes of Sikeston; one brother, Don (Wanda) Darby of Jackson, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
