MOREHOUSE, Mo. — Ethyl Fay “Sissy” Hays, age 71, passed away on Feb. 4, 2022, at her home in Morehouse.
On Sept. 17, 1950, in Corning, Arkansas, she was born to the late James David and Mary Elizabeth Flippo Hays.
Ethyl worked at Fisherman’s Net in Sikeston, Missouri, as a waitress for 22 years.
She is survived by one son, Jonathan (Misti) Hays of Morehouse; two brothers, Danny (Linda) Greeson of Eldon, Missouri, and Jack (Carolyn) Hays of Morehouse; and seven grandchildren, Hannah Yant, Lizzie Hays, Madelynn Fletcher, Chloey Hays, Jonathan Hays Jr., Elijah Hays and Nathaniel Hays.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Justin Dean; and one sister, Patsy Barnett.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon with Pastor Timothy Lee officiating.
Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jackie Hays Jr., Jackie Hays III, Justin Woody, Brian Curry, Levi Curry and Ethan Beeler.
