Jerry Jackson
LILBOURN, Mo. —Jerry Louis Jackson, age 70, of Lilbourn passed away on Feb. 10, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, surrounded by loving family.
Born Sept. 24, 1951, in Barnes Ridge near East Prairie, Missouri, to the late Louis Jackson and Violet Wilson Jackson, Jerry lived in Lilbourn for the past 33 years. He retired from MoDOT in 2010. On Jan. 30, 1981, he married his beloved wife, Rebecca “Becky” (Pierce) Jackson, who preceded him in death on May 16, 2010.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Ralph, Neil and Johnny Cleo; and one sister, Stella.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Zack and Alex Jackson; and grandson, Beckham, of Sikeston, MIssouri. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Leonard Jackson of Brandon, Mississippi; and two sisters, Jane Aycock of East Prairie and Judy Callahan of Raymond, Mississippi, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Jerry was a hard-working family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His focus and passion in life was family and friends. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving father, “Paw,” brother, uncle and friend.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, Missouri.
