Large accident on I-57

A large accident is currently being worked by law enforcement officers at the 13mm of Interstate 57. Multiple fatalities and multiple entrapments are being are being reported as well as heavy smoke. The NB and SB lanes from the I-55/57 interchange in Sikeston to the Illinois state line are currently closed. Drivers are being cautioned to avoid the area if possible.

The northbound and southbound lanes from the I-55/57 interchange to the Illinois state line are currently closed. Drivers are being cautioned to avoid the area if possible.

At least four fatalities have been reported with as many as 70 vehicles involved. Check back for additional updates.
