EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Almeda Deloris Curvin, age 82, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at her home in East Prairie. She was born June 15, 1939, in Charleston, Missouri, to the late William Lafferty and Thelma Ditto Lafferty. She was a member of Full Gospel Church in East Prairie. Almeda was a homemaker and loved playing Bingo and cards with her friends and family.

She married Andrew “Bud” Curvin in 1959, and he preceded her in death. She and Bud were married 38 years.

Survivors include: eight children, Michael Curvin, Penny Cobb and Roberta (Danny) Sterling, all of East Prairie; Jamie Curvin of Chaffee, Missouri, Lelar Blagg of Sikeston, Missouri, Cynthia (Nick) Gilliam of Morley, Missouri, Patsy (Randy) Cooper of Bernie and Ricky (Lisa) Curvin of Port Orchard, Washington; three sisters, Charlene Whited, Brenda Long and Marilynn Simmons; three brothers, Eddie Lafferty, Billy Lafferty and Danny Lafferty; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Almeda was preceded in death by her husband and parents; three children, Carolyn Curvin, Derrell Curvin and Jerrell Curvin; one brother, Robert Lafferty; and two sons-in-law, Tommy Romine and Kenneth (Binky) Blagg.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home, with Brother Eric McGruder, pastor of Full Gospel Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ricky Curvin, Randy Cooper, Cody Blagg, Anthony Blagg, Randy Moss, Target Cooper and Robert Carter.
