SIKESTON — While some area high school seniors are preparing to graduate in the coming days and weeks, others are receiving their diplomas as early as this week.
Portageville High School and Bell City High School are among the first area high schools to graduate their classes of 2022. Respective graduation ceremonies were held Thursday in each high school’s gymnasium.
Scott County Central High School graduates its class of 2022 during a 7 p.m. ceremony Friday in the Ronnie Cookson gymnasium.
Charleston High School will have graduation at 7 p.m. May 13 in the high school gym.
The class of 2022 at East Prairie High School will also graduate during a commencement at 7 p.m. May 13 in the high school gym.
Bloomfield High School’s graduation will be at 5 p.m. May 14 in the school’s gym.
Oran High School’s graduation ceremony for the class of 2022 will be at 2 p.m. May 15 in the high school gymnasium.
Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton will also have its commencement at 2 p.m. May 15. It is scheduled to be outdoors, but in the event of inclement weather, graduation will be moved inside the high school gym.
Richland High School’s graduating class of 2022 will receive their diplomas during a ceremony at 2 p.m. May 15 in the school’s gym.
Graduation for the New Madrid County Central High School’s class of 2022 will be at 6:30 p.m. May 17 in the Central High School gym.
Sikeston High School’s and New Horizons High School’s combined outdoor graduation will begin at 7 p.m. May 23 at Sikeston Public Schools Stadium. In case of inclement weather, graduation will be moved inside to the Sikeston Field House.
The Christian Academy in Sikeston will graduate three seniors during a ceremony at 7 p.m. May 24 at Miner Baptist Church.
