Sikeston DPS battling large house fire on Ruth Street

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety battles a large house fire on Ruth Street Thursday afternoon. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Ruth Street, west of the School and Ruth intersection. Large flames were visible as well as heavy smoke. Residents are asked to stay clear of the area as fire fighters work to extinguish the blaze.
