Grass is high in East Prairie

I was wanting to know if you can send a reporter over here to East Prairie. I live over here on Short Street, across Helen Street, Mill Street. I got a warning that my grass was about 10 inches tall. The city owns this property here. I went out and measured and it’s 36 inches tall. How come they don’t mow their grass? They are responsible for these lots here. It runs really on Helen Street and Mill Street. I live on Short Street. Send a reporter over here and ask the city manager. Don’t they have time? They don’t do nothing for our roads or nothing else.

Get a police chief, Morehouse

How come Morehouse cannot afford to get a chief of police over there? Why did they have to send people to school for it? If they got the credentials to be a police officer shouldn’t they go ahead and be a police officer? That’s why Morehouse is the way it is now cause people don’t got no respect for nobody. Maybe they should get people that knows what they’re doing.

Fix things in City

Before or instead of using money for “big ideas for Sikeston” as quoted recently in the paper, please fix things here that now need the attention of the City — streets, trees that need care or removal on streets and avenues, the unsightly corner of Center Street and Kingshighway (which would make a good location for a “rest area” since utilities are already available there), weed and grass control, established parks beyond the downtown area and throughout the City that serve family activities need attention, just to mention a few.

NRA owns politicians

Regulating or modifying gun laws to help prevent mass shootings in our schools appears to be a dead end. All of our politicians/lawmakers, including all in Missouri, have been paid large sums by the NRA to block anything that might protect our children, and we just keep voting for them. We will get what the NRA has paid for. Such a shame.
