SIKESTON — Joseph Moore Crenshaw, age 68, of Sikeston, St. Charles, Missouri, and Orange Park, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The Crenshaw family settled in St. Charles in 1984. Joe was a proud Ole Miss graduate and worked in banking for many years. He eventually was part of an organizing group that chartered New Frontier Bank.
Joe was a longtime member of St. Charles First United Methodist Church. Through the years he was active in his children’s activities at the Academy of the Sacred Heart and St. Charles West. He was involved in the greater St. Charles community and was honored with numerous awards including the 2009 Small Business Person of the Year award from the St. Charles Regional Chamber of Commerce. When he was not staying busy with his family or in his community, one would find him on a golf course, watching the St. Louis Cardinals or listening to Jimmy Buffet.
Joe Crenshaw is survived by his children, Jackie (Nick) Bode, Meredith Crenshaw and Danny Crenshaw; grandchildren, Clayton and Tucker Bode; his sister, Carolyn Fitch; and the greater Fitch family; his cousin, Cindy Waldron and the Ziegenhorn family; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 1001 W. Murray Lane, Sikeston, MO 63801.
