More EP price gouging

OK. I just want to know over here in East Prairie, one station gas just went up another 10 cents. It’s back up to almost $4 a gallon while everybody else in this area is 40 cents cheaper. Where is our town, what is it called, our town council members over here in East Prairie, Missouri? How come they ain’t looking into price gouging and everything that this company is doing to the citizens of East Prairie? Forty cents. Everybody else is going down and they just went up. You can drive eight miles for gas 40 cents cheaper with the same company. Now you tell me that ain’t price gouging. Where are our council ladies and gentlemen? How come they are investigating this price gouging? How come they ain’t reporting them? Ah, I forgot, it’s about the tax dollars that East Prairie needs so we can pay our $70 water bill each month.

Bring back Dennis Z

I was just calling after reading the Wednesday, Standard Democrat, and I saw that all the four candidates for presiding commissioner are from the north end of the district. I was a little surprised that we didn’t have a candidate from the south end of the district like Dennis Ziegenhorn, who has run before and been in that office before and I would say probably well qualified. But he did not run so that’s OK. I feel like lower Scott County is not being represented by someone who loves our south district. Nothing against the guys from the north end. I don’t mean that at all. I just think if we can get a Democrat to run, maybe Dennis Ziegenhorn again, it would be nice for our City of Sikeston and south Scott County. Just throwing it in there.

Amazing people believe what they do

In the Wednesday, July 22 paper, it says “Missourians deserve better.” Talking about the Jan. 6 committee. It is an illegitimate, ignorant committee that is made for TV hearings. And people like you apparently listen to all that garbage and don’t really go into the facts. The fact is, one woman who went through the window was shot. One police officer died of a heart attack or something like that during the attack. There were a few people injured but there were instigators from the Democratic Party who instigated, and pushed people and revved everything up. I’m getting so tired of people thinking what the general news report is true. It is just unbelievable to me that nobody would take the opportunity to check it out for themselves and just believe the garbage. Amazing to me.
