EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Gordon “Corky” Clark Sr., age 67, a resident of East Prairie, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Corky was born Feb. 20, 1955, at Sikeston, to the late Harold Ishmael and Elsie Myers Clark and was a lifelong resident of East Prairie. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing pool. He also enjoyed watching his granddaughter compete in various sports. He was an active member of the Elm Street Baptist Church and above all else loved the Lord with all his heart.

On March 26, 1977, he married Martha Jones, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his son, Gordon (Yolanda) Clark Jr. of Sikeston; his granddaughter, Aubrey Clark of Sikeston; a nephew they raised as their own son, Kyle Jones; his sister, Charlene (John) Worthington of North Carolina; as well as number of nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Clark; and his sisters, Dixie Counts and Doris Ryan.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at the Elm Street Baptist Church near Charleston. Jon Archie will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Kinney, Nathan Aters, Ricky Huff, Jordan Sanders, Ronnie Hall and Charles Wayne Thurman.

For those unable to attend in person, the funeral service will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of Elm Street Baptist Church.
