Lezley ‘Nicki’ Adams
SIKESTON — Lezley “Nicki” Adams, age 44, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, surrounded by her family at home.
She was born on July 15, 1978, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Judy Price Lear.
Nicki graduated from Sikeston Senior High School and went on to graduate from the Sikeston Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She enjoyed working as an LPN at several different places, but her heart finally found its calling in home health and working with children who needed that special attention and love. She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Murray Lane Baptist Church.
Nicki is survived by her mother, Judy Price Lear of Sikeston; one son, Ethan Nicholas Jarvis of Sikeston; and one daughter, Cheyenne Faith Adams of Sikeston. Also surviving is one sister, Jennifer (Earl) Bohnert of Bertrand, Missouri. Also considered family were special friends, Julie (Matt) Russell Strebler and their family.
Preceding her in death were grandparents, Hershel and Mildred Price of Sikeston.
Throughout her two-year fight with cancer, she would always remind us: “She was living with, not dying from cancer.”
Crown Hospice assisted Nicki and the family in her final weeks, making her transition to her final heavenly home a peaceful one.
Nicki wished to be cremated so those wishes will be honored.
A public memorial will be held at a date to be announced in the near future.
