No burn ban for farmers?

We’re supposed to have a burn ban. I guess that don’t go for farmers, does it? Now I can’t burn or nothing but the farmers are still burning their fields over here when we got a burn ban. This is Monday afternoon. I want to know if the cops are gonna go enforce that, or the City of Sikeston or the county or whoever does it? I’d just like to know. I would get in trouble. I want to know what they’re going to do about them burning. I’m tired of my house smelling like smoke.

I was wondering if the burn order also means farmers. If not, why not? I need to know the answer. Thank you.

Does the Scott County no burn order also include farmers? If not, why not?

Farmers are exempt from burn bans in Missouri; however, they should still use good judgment. According to Revised Statutes of Missouri 49.266.3(2), “state agencies responsible for fire management or suppression activities and persons conducting agricultural burning using best management practices shall not be subject to the burn ban.”
